2009 March meeting highlights

The meeting started off with our Annual General Meeting where a few executive positions were open for elections.  After a few rounds of nominations and discussions, the newly elected executives are as follows:

• Membership Director:  Peggy C.
• Secretary:  Ruth T.
• Activity Director:  Buelah L.
• Program Director:  Bill and Marlene M.
• NCC Representative:  Helen M.

We thanked Steve S. and Eric S. for being the Membership Director and Secretary respectively for the past many years and welcomed the newly elected members.

Then, the regular March meeting began with Bonnie reciting a “Thought for the Day” called “The Gift”.   Next, we had a “show-and-tell” where club members brought Department 56 pieces that had a special meaning to their collections and shared his/her stories.
