- Charity fundraising raffle
- club members were asked to donate Dept 56/household/decorative items for a charity raffle; as usual, our generous members responded overwhelmingly and more than 100 prizes were collected
- each prize was tagged with a number and if you drew a ticket from a drum matching the prize’s number, you would be the lucky owner of that prize
- the cost of 3 tickets was only $1 and at the end of the raffle, close to $90 was raised for our charity!
- Robbie Burns
- January 25th was Robbie Burns day
- Darlene gave an interesting talk on Robbie Burns, the most famous Scottish poet and lyricist and his many memorable compositions, such as the iconic Auld Lang Syne, A Red, Red Rose and Green Sleeves
- Club member scrapbook
- the January group created a scrapbook for club members to describe how the club had changed him/her since he/she became a member
- a few members submitted his/her thoughts and their entries were shared with members in attendance
- A meeting cannot be a successful meeting without food!
