- Lynda & Jim, Martha & Barry and Gail & John all did a great job with their wonderful Halloween displays
- after an exciting round of voting, Martha & Barry’s entry was chosen as the top pick of the contest
- Fun activity
- Robert and Ann led the club members into a game of “putting on a mummy face”. But the trick was that all participants must be blind-folded. As you could tell from the photographs below, every one had fun trying to “stick it” to the mummy (and some even cheated by giving/receiving help).

- Food and money charity donation
- As a way of giving back to the local community, the organizing committee decided to hold a food drive collection for a charity called The Teresa Group. It is one of Canada’s oldest community based charitable organizations specifically serving children affected by HIV and AIDS and their family.
- The collection was a resounding success as club members responded enthusiastically with donations of canned and dried food just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
- In addition, the club executives also decided to donate money collected from the auctions in our May meeting to the same organization. In total, $373.10 was sent to the Teresa Group.
