- Annual General Meeting
- on March of every year, Trillium Village Collectors Club hosts its annual general meeting for all voting members and this year was no exception
- there were 3 executive positions available for election: President, Vice President and Treasurer and all 3 positions were won by acclamation:
- John H. remained as President
- Dennis T. became Vice President
- Pat J. became Treasurer
- we all thanked Pat J. and Don H. for their work and dedication as the Vice President and Treasurer respectively
- Spring Display Contest
- although the weather had not been co-operating, Spring had officially begun
- the theme of the March meeting was Spring/Easter and club members were encouraged to bring in a display with bright colours, fun subjects plus a lot of “Spring” touches
- as usual, our members responded enthusiastically with their wonderful creations
- An Impromptu Display Tip
- Barry, a well recognized handy man within the club, spoke about how one could easily create steps for a styrofoam display base by slightly altering a hot wire tool
- his innovative design was quite simple and yet it produced tremendous results!
- Bingo!
- as a group activity, the organizing committee ran a Bingo game with a twist
- instead of matching numbers, Bingo players had to match names of Department 56 village and collection items that are related to different “holidays” of the year: Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Halloween and Christmas
