Our September meeting, due to club house roof repair, was changed to a date in October. That move inadvertently gave everyone a greater sense of excitement and anticipation as Halloween was just around the corner. Fittingly, the meeting was centered around this well celebrated festival.
- Halloween display contest
- Halloween trivia
- Judy came up 20 tough trivia questions about Halloween and its traditions
- “Who did that job?”
- Don hosted a “getting to know your fellow member” game where club
members wrote down a short description of a job he/she currently hold or held in the past which no one in the club would know about and everyone else tried to identify the person
- this turned out to be quite a lot of fun – little did we realize that our club members are as diverse as the jobs they held
- here are just a few examples: a surveyor for the Ontario Department of Highways, a textile factory worker, a (rubber goods) stripper, a top 40 radio station DJ, a Correctional Services officer, a legal secretary, a radio moose collar tester, a bicycle courier, a medical laboratory technologist, etc
- Don hosted a “getting to know your fellow member” game where club
- Halloween cookie decoration
