- the meeting started off with an ice-cream social where everyone had his/her choice of ice-cream and favourite toppings
- I suggest we should have this group hosting meetings ALL THE TIME!
- Garage Sale
- a few members brought their extra Department 56 items to sell and others were happy to take the items off the table with bargain prices – a “win-win” situation don’t you think?
- How to “rehab” your houses?
- Jim, Lynda, Martha, Barry, Hilary and Norm did a fantastic demonstration on how they “updated’ or ”rehabbed” their unwanted or ugly buildings into something they can use in their displays
- they used various techniques to re-paint the buildings and to add small attachments to give them fresh new looks
- they even “updated” some accessory figurines to make them more “display appropriate”
- they did such a good job that when comparing the “before” and “after” versions of the same building, one would have a hard time deciding which one is more desirable
