- Annual General Meeting
- Our club conducts the annual general meeting during the March meeting and this year is no exception; as usual, Dennis T., our president, reviewed club activities from the past 12 months as well as membership and financial details
- this year, 3 executive positions were open for elections: President, Vice President and Treasurer; both President (Dennis T.) and Vice President (Sue B.-G.) won their positions by acclamation and Rick J. was elected as our new Treasurer
- the club would like to thank Pat J. for her hard work and dedication as Treasurer for the past 6 years
- Theme Displays
- club members were asked to do a display according to the theme of the meeting: clash, meaning that the display can be of any theme as long as the items used in the display clashed against each other
- as always, our members put on their thinking hats and came up with wonderfully imaginative displays
- Penny Sale
- members were asked to donate Department 56 items for sale at the “penny sale” raffle and all proceeds would be donated to charity
- as you can tell from the photographs below, Charlene P. and Marlene M. did a great job in organizing this event which went off without a hitch; in total, the event raised more than $100 for the charity
- obviously, raffle winners all went home happy with their prizes
