- Fall/Thanksgiving/Halloween display contest
- members were asked to bring in a display containing something scary or spooky that would go well with the Fall/Halloween theme
- as usual, our members responded with wonderfully imaginative entries
- Discussion of the club hosting a Department 56 collector convention
- our treasurer Pat and Bruce prepared a detailed draft proposal concerning the possibility of the club hosting a Department 56 convention in Toronto and presented to those present at the meeting
- various topics regarding the event were discussed at length including event dates and location, financial projection and possible funding avenues and the involvement of club membership, Department 56 and NCC
- at the end of the discussion, ballots were used to decide whether or not the club would go ahead with the proposal and just slightly over half of the participants voted not to go ahead with the plan as proposed
- Group Activity
- the object of this activity is to make a small fall centrepiece with a styrofoam base using only natural objects, such as pine cones, gourds, teasels, twigs, leaves, acorns, etc
- as one can see from the photographs below, everyone enjoyed putting the centrepiece together with lots of thoughts and creativity
