Agenda: Christmas meeting
- most members dressed up for this festive occasion and even Bill were surrounded by elves and helpers (and raffle buyers)
- Annual Christmas pot-luck lunch
- Christmas display
- members were asked to bring in a Christmas display entry that represents a Christmas carol or song
- the fun part for everyone else was to guess the songs or carols
- 5 members brought in 6 displays and all were well thought of with great imagination and different styles – we had entries depicting traditional carols such as Jingle Bells, (There’s No Place Like) Home For The Holidays, Sleigh Ride and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and then we have contemporary Christmas songs like Old Christmas Card and The Holiday Train – can you guess which carols or songs were represented by these displays?
- Gift exchange activity
- the objective of this activity was to exchange Christmas gifts by following a story and every time a number or a word that sounded like a number appeared in the story, we had to pass the gifts in our hand to the person next to us the same number of times
- that was hilarious as usual and chaotic at the same time as we had to handle each gift gingerly and made sure we did not drop it when passing to our neighbour
- all in all, fun was had by all and each one got to bring a gift home!
